1-Understanding Myocarditis
Myocarditis refers to an inflammation of the myocardium. When the heart becomes inflamed it struggles to pump due, to cell damage and swelling (edema). If antibodies from the bodys system are sent to combat the inflammation they may inadvertently attack the heart tissues instead causing harm. Excessive damage to heart muscle cells can weaken the heart muscle. Lead to conditions like heart failure or sudden death in cases.
2-Healing Process in Myocarditis
In instances the heart undergoes a healing process where damaged or dead muscle cells are transformed into tissue. Unlike heart tissue scar tissue cannot. Assist in pumping blood effectively. Accumulation of scar tissue, in the heart can result in heart failure or dilated cardiomyopathy.
